Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is consulting on proposals to establish a new Welsh-medium primary school in the north of the County Borough.

The proposal represents an important opportunity to expand Welsh-medium education in Merthyr Tydfil by increasing the number of Welsh-medium school places available to local families and improving access to Welsh-medium education across the County Borough. In doing so, it will support the Welsh Government's Cymraeg 2050 vision of creating one million Welsh speakers and increasing the daily use of the Welsh language.
