RARS Strategy Consultation
The Raising Aspirations, Raising Standards (RARS) Education Strategy has provided a strong foundation for improving outcomes for children and young people across Merthyr Tydfil for the last 5 years. As this strategy concludes at the end of the 2025–2026 academic year, it is essential that the local authority undertakes a comprehensive consultation to review progress, understand emerging needs and co‑design the next phase of educational priorities for 2026–2030.
Consulting on the current RARS strategy and gathering stakeholder input is essential to shaping a robust, forward‑looking education strategy for 2026–2030. This process will ensure relevance to local needs, build on the strengths and lessons of RARS, support co‑production with the community, strengthen accountability and create a shared, ambitious vision for the future of education in Merthyr Tydfil.
