Caedraw consultation

As part of its Welsh Government-funded Active Travel programme, the County Borough Council is consulting residents on plans to create a better environment entering the town centre by making improvements to Caedraw roundabout and Lower High Street.

The proposal would see improved pedestrian crossings on the Caedraw roundabout and a new zebra crossing created between High Street car park and the shops.

The scheme involves widening the existing footway from Caedraw roundabout to the new crossing on Lower High Street.

There will also be new road markings will be on High Street to keep the pedestrian crossing clear.

The ‘splitter island’ on Avenue de Clichy will also be widened to reduce the carriageway width for pedestrians to cross.

This work will complement the scheme proposed along Avenue de Clichy and will be followed by pedestrian improvements at Tesco roundabout later in the year, pending funding from Welsh Government.

To have your say on the proposals, please take part in the following short survey, which is running until midday on 16 July 2021.
