NO EXCUSE FOR ABUSE

Here at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, we take abuse or aggression that's directed towards our staff by members of the public extremely seriously, whether it's face-to face, over the telephone, by email or online.

Our staff are here to help, and they must be able to carry out their duties without fear of violence, abuse or harassment.

Violent, threatening or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and, where necessary, reported to the police.

We understand that people can become frustrated if they feel that matters are not being dealt with as they wish. Someone may be under stress or have other personal issues; however this is not an excuse for aggression.
