Reusable Green Garden Waste Sack
Use this service to request a Reusable Green Garden Waste Sack.
We’re pleased to let you know that garden waste collections will re-start from Monday 5th April!
The seasonal kerbside garden waste service will be re-commencing on Monday, 5th April 2021.
Your seasonal garden collection is usually on the opposite week, but same day as your wheeled bin collection, however, there are exceptions to this so you can check on our postcode finder or contact Wasteservices@merthyr.gov.uk
Collections will then be fortnightly from your commencement date.
We will collect a maximum of 9 bags of green waste on your collection day.
Garden waste collected separately is sent to a local facility and turned into compost. This compost is used as a soil improver for numerous groundwork projects, transforming areas into a habitat for wildlife that is aesthetically pleasing.
Your support in this service helps divert this useful resource from landfill and energy from waste and provides a good quality, useful product.
