Certificate Fees
All certificates issued from a current register on the day of registration are £12.50. Subsequent certificates issued from the current register are £12.50 (issued within 15 working days) £38.50 (issued within 24 hours)
Certificates issued from a full register (in the Superintendent Registrar's custody) are:
- Short Birth Certificate: £12.50 (issued within 15 working days)
- Standard Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates : £12.50 (issued within 15 working days)
- Standard Certificates (priority service - issued within 24 hours): £38.50
- Five year search of indexes: £6.70 plus cost of certificate
- Ten year search of indexes : £13.20 plus cost of certificate
- General search made by applicant : £20.00
If you require your certificate to be sent by recorded delivery there will be a fee of £2.50
Marriage Fees
Merthyr Tydfil Register Office fees are:
To give notice £42.00 per person
The fee payable to the Registrar on the day of a register office marriage: £67.50 (£56 for the Statutory Marriage and £12.50 for the Marriage Certificate)
Fees for Cyfarthfa Castle, Guest Club and Redhouse Old Town Hall ceremonies:
Monday - Friday: £430.00, Saturday: £475.00, Sunday: £550.00 (marriage certificate :£12.50)
Fountain Room:
Monday - Friday: £240.00, Saturday: £275.00, Sunday: £300.00 (marriage certificate : £12.50)
