 Certificate Fees

All certificates issued from a current register on the day of registration are £11.00. Subsequent certificates issued from the current register are £11.00 (issued within 15 working days) £35 (issued within 24 hours)

Certificates issued from a full register (in the Superintendent Registrar's custody) are:

• Short Birth Certificate: £11.00 (issued within 15 working days)
• Standard Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates : £11.00 (issued within 15 working days)
• Standard Certificates (priority service - issued within 24 hours): £35.00
• Five year search of indexes: £5.00 plus cost of certificate
• Ten year search of indexes : £10.00 plus cost of certificate
• General search made by applicant : £18.00

If you require your certificate to be sent by recorded delivery there will be a fee of £2.50

Marriage Fees

Merthyr Tydfil Register Office fees are:

To give notice £35.00 per person

The fee payable to the Registrar on the day of a register office marriage: £57 (£46 for the Statutory Marriage and £11 for the Marriage Certificate)

Fees for Cyfarthfa Castle, Guest Club and Redhouse Old Town Hall ceremonies:

Monday - Friday: £395.00, Saturday: £430.00, Sunday: £495.00 (marriage certificate :£11.00)

Fountain Room:

Monday - Friday: £221.00, Saturday: £253.00, Sunday: £277.00 (marriage certificate : £11.00)
