This page provides information on how to report suspected fraud committed within the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council region. Fraud can disrupt the delivery and quality of services and threaten the financial stability of the council. Every £1 that a local authority loses to fraud is £1 that it cannot spend on supporting the community.
Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has a zero-tolerance culture to fraud, bribery, and corruption.
We have a dedicated Fraud Officer who will undertake investigations into allegations of fraud/misappropriation perpetrated against the Council.
