Advance Payments

If you need money before you receive your first Universal Credit payment then you can ask for a short term advance. These are repayable out of your on-going Universal Credit payments but can help you to pay urgent bills before your first payment. Your work coach will advise you how to apply for an advance at your first appointment at the Jobcentre.
