The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, resilient and committed HLTA to join our school. The successful applicant will be working across our school and will be expected to undertake some whole class teaching responsibilities, as well as leading Healthy Schools Initiative.

Main tasks, duties and responsibilities will include:

- To manage (in collaboration with the teacher in charge), plan and resource a classroom which will encourage the development of all aspects of children’s learning. In particular, to encourage independent use of resources and involvement in their learning.
- Provide a stimulating classroom environment, relevant to the current topic/theme being taught.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring appropriate records have been kept.
- To perform and keep records of observations, using information gathered to inform individual pupil targets, lesson planning and the preparation of activities
- Contribute to the school’s Performance Management process, supporting colleagues as required.
- Mange and deploy colleagues and support staff where required.
- Lead and implement Healthy Schools initiative across the school.
- Play a full part in the life of the school community, supporting the ethos of the school.
- Comply with school policies and procedures in areas such as assessment, marking, behaviour management and communication with parents, planning, staff meetings and parental events.
- Communicate and co-operate with specialists from outside agencies.
