The Head of Curriculum, Collaboration and Improvement is a newly defined role providing strong, credible system leadership to advance equity and excellence across education in Merthyr Tydfil.

Working strategically with schools, leaders and wider partners, the postholder will lead collaborative approaches to school improvement, support schools to strengthen and refine their curriculum offer, and build collective responsibility for improving outcomes across the system.

The role also provides strategic oversight to a number of key areas including Governor Support service, Welsh in Education/Welsh standards and School Collaboration and Improvement Partners, ensuring these functions are fully aligned with the wider school improvement/corporate agenda.
