We are seeking a caring, nurturing and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Troedyrhiw Community Primary School. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children, particularly those with additional learning needs, to thrive and reach their full potential.
In this role, you will work closely with staff to support the learning, wellbeing and development of our pupils (aged 3 – 11 years). A key part of your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, helping children feel confident, included and successful in their learning.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a warm, patient and supportive approach to working with children
• Has an understanding of, or experience in, supporting pupils with additional learning needs
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Is reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team
• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working alongside the class teacher, Leader and Manager, you will:
• Support groups of children in their learning and development
• Help deliver tailored learning programmes for pupils in both the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2
• Contribute to maintaining high standards by supporting teaching and learning across the school
• Observe, record and report on pupils’ progress
