The Connect to Work programme is a government initiative aimed at helping individuals on a voluntary basis with disabilities, health conditions and complex barriers to find employment and sustain work.

Community Employment Specialist Mentors will provide intensive one-to-one mentoring to participants with additional needs and complex barriers to help them identify and take practical steps to overcome barriers that are preventing them moving forward onto identified training and employment.

The role will form part of an integral part of the Department of Work and Pensions, Connect to Work Programme.

You will support a caseload of participants who are formally enrolled onto the Individual Placement Support model (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF), as identified as being eligible to receive which service under the programme. You will be required to develop and implement their action plans, addressing barriers to employment, developing employability skills and securing employment whilst actively promoting the services of the programme to a wide range of stakeholders, including the development of a new relationship with health-related services. You will motivate and support participants to move into and most importantly, sustain employment.
