Ellis Cooper

Chief Executive

As the Head of the Council’s Paid service and responsibility for all Council Officers, Ellis is the main link between Council Members and Officers and ensures that Council’s strategic priorities are delivered in an appropriate manner.

Ellis joined the Council in 2002 as an E-government Development Officer and progressed through the organisation holding various roles and became Chief Executive in 2021. In all his roles he has been focused on transforming the organisation through innovation wherever possible.
