Sensory/Immersive Room
The Integrated Children’s Centre in Pentrebach is home to a state of the art Sensory, Immersive Room and Sensory Lending Library. It is full of wonderful and exciting equipment and play activities suitable for all ages and those with Emerging and Additional Needs. The room features bubble tubes, soft play and interactive wall themes.
The room hosts a weekly Breastfeeding and Baby Massage Group as well as private bookings for members of the public. Be it a group of new mums wishing to get together for a safe and stimulating environment or a multi-sensory experience for those with Emerging and Additional Learning Needs (Children and adults alike).
Our Sensory Lending Library Resources are free to lend, please browse through the catalogue to see what you would like to try out. Once you have decided on your item/items a contract will be completed and signed at the centre and away you go to enjoy your Sensory Lending Library item/s.
At the centre there is plenty of room for wheelchair access. We have friendly staff on site at all times to help and answer any questions you may have.
This facility is free of charge and open to the public, childcare settings and groups from the Merthyr Borough. Please call 01685 727374 for further information or to make a booking.
Online booking also available via the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council Website, once we have received your booking form a member of staff will contact you to book your session using the contact number given within your booking form.
