Traveller Education and Support

All parents, including Gypsies and Travellers, have a legal duty to ensure an effective education for their children. In recognition of the different circumstances of many travelling families, we can provide extra support and help to:

• complete school admissions forms
• provide support with equality and fairness
• support children with their progress in school
• provide support with language and culture
• provide support to tackle racism and bullying
• encourage school attendance
• promote good community relationships
