Project Information:

This project will include the refurbishment and extension on the current school building to increase capacity and create additional Welsh Medium (WM) education primary places as well as the addition of a WM Learning Resource Base (LRB). The extension to the school will also create a community room and Meithrin to ensure that WM childcare and community opportunities are also accessible on the school site.

Objection Period

A statutory notice outlining the proposals approved for a new learning resource base at Ysgol Gymraeg Rhyd Y Grug from September 2025 has been published on Friday 27^th September inviting any formal written or emailed objection to be submitted within 28 days of this notice. The objection period ends on 24th October 2024.

Objections should be sent to Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, for the attention of the Director of Education, Civic Centre, Castle St, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 8AN. Objections via email should be sent to schoolorganisation@merthyr.gov.uk

The council will publish a summary of any such objections made within the objection period.
