Reuse / Waste prevention

If you’ve ever thought “Someone else could use this”, don’t throw it in the bin – donate it to our charity partner re-use shop “A New Lease of Life”.

When you visit our household waste recycling centre there is a facility to donate reusable items to the shop (look out for the signs).

A New Lease of Life can take reasonable condition furniture like sofas, tables, and chairs, as well as working electrical items like TV’s and toasters, toys, bikes – sports equipment. Pretty much anything.

Your unwanted items will be given a brush down, (and if electrical safety tested), and then sold in our charity partner shop run by Wastesavers.

Wastesavers is a Social Enterprise and registered charity dedicated to social, environmental and economic sustainability. The charity makes sure people have access to furniture and IT, by making donations through local organisations to families and individuals who need them.

The shop is open to everybody with no restrictions.

A New Lease of Life has created three new jobs in Pentrebach along with numerous volunteering opportunities. (If you would like to volunteer, please the shop directly).
