Trelewis Primary School is part of the Taff Bargoed Learning partnership, located in the Taff Bargoed Valley, Merthyr Tydfil. Our school is a successful, vibrant, and happy school which offers excellent learning opportunities to all of our children, as well as the professional development of our staff. Trelewis Primary School is a forward-thinking school that’s provides pupils with a range of exciting and engaging learning. The Governing Body are looking for an inspirational, innovative, highly motivated and conscientious Primary School Teacher to join a hard-working, committed team at our highly successful school. The candidate will need to have expertise and flexibility to work within the Primary School setting.

The successful candidate will be:
? An excellent classroom practitioner.
? Experience of teaching in the Junior phase of primary School (This will be a Year 4 post)
? Organised and have excellent inter-personal skills.
? Willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities
? Accountable for standards of the pupils in their class.
? Creative, dynamic and flexible.
? Committed to raising standards and making learning fun and engaging.
? Able to nurture, inspire and motivate pupils of mixed abilities.
? Able to work as part of a team to achieve the best for each and every pupil
? Able to use IT effectively to support and enhance teaching and learning
? Knowledgeable of current educational reforms.
? Have excellent classroom management and communication skills

? Closing date for the post will be on Friday 3rd May 2024 at 12:00pm.
? Shortlisting will take place on Wednesday 8th May. Successful candidates will be contacted.
? Lesson observations at the school will be organised with successful candidates for Monday 13th May / Tuesday 14th May
? Interviews will take place on Wednesday 15th May at Trelewis Primary School.
