GRADE 2 SCP 6
37 hours per week
£25,989 per annum
Required for September 16th 2025 or as soon possible after this date.
Following the resignation of our current caretaker, we are now looking for a replacement.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Head teacher and Senior Leadership Team for the provision of an efficient and effective caretaking service, and will be able to work in partnership with our school team.
We are looking for a caretaker who can:
• Manage the general upkeep of the school buildings, undertaking minor repairs, redecoration and maintenance
• Be responsible for the opening and closing of both sites of the school and undertaking regular security checks, including being the first key holder for out of hours emergencies
• Oversee the efficient working of the school’s lighting, water, heating, fire and alarm systems, advising on matters relating to energy control and conservation
• Assist in the management and operation of lettings
• Assist in safety audits of the premises and comply with Health and Safety guidelines at all times
• Show initiative, commitment and a willingness to develop in the role
• Actively contribute to the ethos and aims of the school
• Have a willingness to get involved in school activities
• Support and assist with traffic management initiatives
• Help maintain and develop the school grounds
• Be responsible for a team of cleaners and daily cleaning of agreed areas
A full driving licence and own transport is preferred but not essential for the post.
This post requires an Enhanced and Barred DBS Check
What will be your hours?
• 6:30 am – 10:30 am
• 2.30 pm – 6pm (5.30pm on a Friday)
• Holidays cannot be taken during school term time.
