The role will provide parenting support to families across Merthyr Tydfil, contributing to the delivery of the Flying Start and Families First parenting objectives.
The Parent Support Worker will focus on engaging families and helping them to build confidence, resilience, and motivation through the delivery of evidence-based parenting programmes. Support will be offered through both group sessions and one-to-one interventions, ensuring that parents and carers have the skills and confidence needed to promote the physical, emotional, and educational development of their children.
This post will place particular emphasis on delivering community-based parenting interventions and on developing strong engagement with new partners, parents, and guardians to strengthen support networks and outcomes for families.
