Speciality:
To provide specialist skills in relation to all Grounds maintenance tasks including tree planting, hedge and grass cutting and maintenance in both cyclical work patterns and arising issues.

? To provide a high level of skill relating to the borough’s Parks management on scheduled and emergency work.

? To deal with all matters relating to Grounds maintenance including tree felling, hedge maintenance, grass maintenance, shrub and border management.

? Abide by current generic risk assessments and carry out site specific risk assessments prior to work. Carry out dynamic risk assessments during schedule work and during emergency incidents.

? Use of technology such as smart phone/tablet applications for work requirements.

? Be responsible for one’s own equipment safety, flagging when checks/maintenance is required.

? Deal with members of the public on site and ensure safe areas of work are cordoned off and maintained to ensure safety of staff and members of the public.

? To give advice and risk assess issues queried by members of the public on council and in the interests of public safety.
