All requests for Traffic Management Measures are prioritised in accordance with Council policy and the following data elements are studied:

Traffic speed

Traffic flow

Pedestrian flow

Cycle flow

Personal injury accident record previous 3 years
Priority is given to accident history using a formula which weights personal injury accidents in an equation which also considers the length of highway involved.
