Keeping children and young people safe from harm and supporting families

Keeping children and young people safe from harm is the heart of Children’s Services. Our model of practice keeps children, young people and their families at the centre of what we do. We believe that strong, open and honest relationships between practitioners and our community is a powerful tool of support. We support people, not in isolation, but in the context of their wider family system and network. Advocacy for children, young people and their parents is supported by the service. Our Family Group Conferences provide families with a safe environment to find their own solutions, as we respect that families are experts in their own lives.
