Bulky Rubble collection

Our bulky rubble service is now available for large quantities of rubble generated from households that are carrying out minor home improvements. Rubble will be collected kerbside in tonne sacks provided by the council. A maximum of one tonne sack can be booked and placed out for collection.

Payment for collections

The charge is £60 per tonne sack.  If our crews attend the property and the rubble is not in the agreed place for collection you will need to book another collection and no refund will be given.

Missed Collections

• If your item(s) are not collected for any reason (such as inclement weather or vehicle breakdown) we will attempt to contact you using the contact details provided to us when making the request
• Every effort will be made to collect on the next working day

Refunds for cancellations

Refunds can only be processed if a request is received by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council more than 2 working days prior to the scheduled collection.

You can also take rubble to your local Household Recycling Centre (HRC). Please note you will need a permit if you are using a van to visit the HRC.
