Candidate Sites Register

During 2016 Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (MTCBC) invited the submission of Candidate Sites to be included in the replacement Local Development Plan (LDP) 2016 -2031.

The Candidate Sites Register contains a list of the 103 sites submitted for consideration, either for development or protection, in the emerging replacement LDP.

To view the register click on the link below, a Ward Map shows all the sites submitted in that ward.  Scroll-down to see the individual maps arranged by site reference number.  Each site map is followed by a Sustainability Appraisal (SA).

The main purpose of the SA is to identify the potential sustainability implications of the sites included on the Register.  The sites were assessed on the basis of the criteria contained in the SA Framework attached as Appendix 1.
