Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council provides a range of housing services to support residents with homelessness, housing advice and Housing Register enquiries.
Homelessness Services – Civic Centre
The Housing Solutions Team is based at the Civic Centre and can provide help with:
- Homelessness presentations
- Homelessness prevention advice and support
- Eviction notices and notices seeking possession
- Relationship and family breakdowns affecting housing
- Support to prevent homelessness
- Ongoing homelessness case management
- Emergency housing assistance
If you are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or need urgent housing advice, please contact the Housing Solutions Team on 01685 725000 or attend the Civic Centre.
Civic Centre Opening Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Housing Register Services – Town Centre HUB
The Housing Register Team is based at the Town Centre HUB and can assist with:
- New Housing Register applications
- Housing Register appointments
- Updating existing applications
- Housing Register renewals
- Banding enquiries
- Bidding advice and support
- Submitting supporting evidence
- General enquiries relating to social housing applications
Housing Register Drop-In Opening Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
- Closed daily between 12:00pm and 1:00pm
No appointment is required during these drop-in sessions.
